Grandpa's 80th

My grandpa just turned 80 and we had a big celebration with all of the family. It is always so wonderful to be with our loved ones. Milo got a little fussy because the party went so late so to distract him I went outside to take photos. I just love taking pictures of him, just like every mom must.... it makes me want to be a photographer. Maybe my little sister Emily can teach me a few things. She is really good at photography. I just think images that can be captured in photos can move people in a special way. My life is so blessed. The lovely images of my life fill my heart with joy.

We Just Love This Boy

Lake Powell

So we went to Lake Powell for the first time this year. It was oh so lovely.
My favorite part was being with my cute grandma Sue down there. Isn't she sweet?

Milo is so chill... I am confident he has that Aussie "beach mentality" from his dad.

April Showers bring May Flowers

Geoff and I decided to try and beautify our yard. Needless to say, we had no clue what we were doing, but a sweet lady in our ward gave me some tips and our friends helped us shop for flowers. So here's hoping these lovely flowers don't die in the next few weeks.

Best Rafiki

Heather finally got out to Utah to meet Milo. Bags is my best friend. She is my soul mate, and I know she will play a significant role in helping shape what kind of a man Milo grows into one day. When she met Milo it was love at first sight.

My Mother

Most of all the other beautiful things in life come by twos and threes, by dozens and hundreds. Plenty of roses, stars, sunsets, rainbows, brothers and sisters, aunts and cousins, comrades and friends - but only one mother in the whole world.
-- Kate Douglas Wiggin

Isn't my mother to die for? I can't express in words how lovely I think she is. The image of her sweet smiling face, that face of unconditional love, is forever engraved in my heart. I took these photos of her today and I think it typifies her beauty.

My First Mother's Day

My First Mother's Day was a dream. My cute husband made sure that I got to enjoy church, take a nap, took care of dinner and cleaned up after, and gave me a brand new video camera to capture future moments of our little family. Motherhood has a very humanizing effect, everything gets reduced to be simple and loving. I know that have a little baby, but sometimes it is feels unreal that I am a mother. What an honor to be Milo's mom.

Mommy and Milo

Everyone said that Milo looked exactly like Geoff when he was born... and he did. It wasn't until recently that we noticed mommy in him. Here are a few pics to prove that he is mine. It is fantastic to see yourself in your little one.

Old school cousin photos

I know that there are some Ranch cousins who will enjoy viewing these. Much love to my cute cousins.

Family

Grandma Sue

Me and baby Tate (Annie's little girl)

My life is so full because of my fantastic family. I am so happy that I get to live in Utah with my family. I am really missing my grandma these days and my little Tatum. I wish I could see her reaching her mile stones. She is darling.
